Greys became part of the Hardy family in the 1990s and offer product ranges for fly, coarse, carp, predator and sea anglers. There will be a full range of the latest Hardy and Greys fishing tackle on display and available to try over the show weekend, this will include the ever popular Hardy Zenith Sintrix rod range along with their new spey and multi-tip lines as well as the new Hardy Ultralite CLS reel. The following members of the Hardy & Greys team will be on hand to demonstrate their latest tackle.
Howard Croston
Howard has been a passionate fly angler for over 27 years. He learnt his skills on the wild trout rivers of the Lake District but has now fished in dozens of countries around the world in both fresh and saltwater. He has caught a huge array of species including tarpon to 135lb, permit in excess of 20lb, double figure bonefish and sharks to over 7ft long! Howard has represented England at every level in both competitive casting and fishing with more than 15 England caps, including placing 4th in the world championships in Slovenia in 2012 and as part of the team that won the world championships in 2009. Howard is currently Senior Category Manager.
Chris Ogborne
Chris Ogborne needs little or no introduction. Gaining a record number of caps he represented and captained his country on the international fly fishing stage for over 20 years. He has been English national fly fishing champion twice, European champion and was part of the hugely successful gold medal winning England teams for three decades. He is a long serving consultant to Hardy & Greys. Chris runs Kernow Game Fishing and guides anglers for saltwater species in the stunning locations of Devon and Cornwall
John Henderson
John is the Key Account Marketing Manager for Hardy & Greys and with 17 years’ service with the company so there’s not much he can’t help you with. He is also an accomplished all-round angler fishing for all different manners of species, his favourite probably being Salmon, John is equally at home casting either single or double-handed rods. John will be on hand all weekend to help you choose the right Hardy or Greys products.
Peter Gibson
Peter is the Territory Sales Manager for Hardy & Greys; he has a wealth of experience of destination angling covering from bone fish to marlin. Pete ran a fishing operation at the world famous Hemingway’s resort in Kenya for a number of years although he is more than happy to be casting a fly at trout or ledgering a worm for perch here in the UK. Pete will also be on hand to help you with any of your questions at our show.
