Another of the newcomers to the 2017 Reading Show is Wiltshire’s famous Three Daggers Brewery…
Joining us for the first time this year is the 3D microbrewery, who brew a core range of real ales and craft beers, each with their own distinctive tastes and characteristics. From their first ever brew, Daggers Ale 4.1%, through to the most recent addition, Daggers Black 4.5%, a rich stout. The brewing team also experiment with seasonal ales such as our ‘green’ beer which uses the hops grown on their own farm.
The team, led by Head Brewer Michael Andrews, brew several times every week. The actual brewing process involving mashing, sparging, boiling, fermenting and conditioning takes several days from start to finish and the team constantly check on each brew to ensure consistency with every batch of beer produced so, when you try the end result at the Reading Show you will have the perfect pint!
Three Daggers will not, however, be visiting the 2017 Sportfish Reading Show in half measures – they will be in their fully-restored 1968 Citroen H Van which has been transformed into a fully mobile bar complete with four traditional ale hand pumps and a chilling system so that you can enjoy the perfect pint. Cunningly disguised as a vintage Citroen delivery van, the sides of the ‘Beer Bus’ pop up to reveal a bar with the capability to serve chilled Three Daggers Brewery ales and there’s even a chiller serving their fabulous homemade ice creams!
